Like a lot of us, I grew up watching my female relatives make their own clothes. The love and care and time they put into each garment, whether they were sewing, or knitting or practicing some other craft was palpable and I remember being in wonder at their skill. The process was as enjoyable as the outcome to them but I always had a fascination with what they were making 'with' which I always had to investigate (wink!)
